"Making The Most of Closed Kinetic Chains"

In this workshop participants will explore movement sequences that use upper and lower extremity weight bearing activity as a tool to increase mobility and motor control.   Within a tensegrity model, this workshop will apply concepts from the Bartenieff Fundamentals ™ to maximize the use of closed kinetic chain activities in the Pilates environment. Participants will experience how closed kinetic chain activities can inform the body of the arthrokinematics of the joints which allows the nervous system to choose options for ease, efficiency, and function in movement.
